National Mentoring Month
January is National Mentoring Month.  I want to share with you this amazing mentoring program called, First Exposures (in San Francisco).  First Exposures is a one-on-one youth mentoring program utilizing photography as a creative tool to help young kids develop academic and life skills.  I was a mentor for about 2 years and had established a wonderful relationship with my student (named Mariana)....

Golden Half 35mm (1/2 frame) camera
I got a Golden Half camera for Christmas, needless to say, I was so excited and couldn’t wait to test it out.  The camera takes 35mm; for each exposure, it takes half of that frame.  So if you shoot a 36exp., you get 72, pretty awesome if you want to create more images per roll of film.  The camera has a rubberized coating, great for easy grip.  It’s light and tiny, fits in your pocket...
